two things:

you managed to get IM-conversation w/ swears into a generally scholarly piece.

and, what in the world does button-mashing-decision-making-without-concern-for-others have to do with any actual consideration of current games.

I swear a lot, apparently. Also demonstrate bad sentence structure in IMs… still, good show. Now go finish that man’s paper already!

er, rather, is it released yet?

@Rit No, it’s being presented in the Fall. I’ve asked Don for a copy to review, but haven’t heard back from him yet. I’m sure, though, that he has some interesting points to make in the paper. I disagree with him on a lot of things with respect to professional ethics in computing, but he’s definitely got a few things spot on that other people didn’t really notice before.

@Todd Yeah, I kindof got the impression this paper was written in 1985 and left on the back burner for a while. But that’s usually the feel when a non-gamer writes a paper about video games.
